Went to eat there tonight but decided after placing our order to take it home. We bought a full slab, a pound of pulled pork, a half chicken, green beans, baked beans, and coleslaw. Our only regret is we didn't order the peach cobbler and bourbon pecan pie. Everything was amazing and none of us could pick our favorite. Oh and we have plenty left over for dinner tomorrow. This is now our favorite BBQ place in Indiana. So, so good!!

I'm sorry to report our first visit wasn't as positive as others had. We went into Soul Bear BBQ to place a carryout order. This was our first visit even though we drive past often.

As we entered three people were in the back and one came out to take our order. We had reviewed the menu online so we were prepared. We placed part of the order and the woman turned to leave. We stated the remainder of our order to her back but she never acknowledged she heard us. We basically felt dismissed as she went to the back. Another woman brought our food out and just dropped the bag on the counter in front of us. We weren't feeling the warm and friendly service others mentioned.

The menu is what you'd expect from a barbecue restaurant. Ribs (slabs and tips), chicken (whole, half or dinner), fish (perch, Whiting, catfish) and pulled pork (sandwich, 1 lb or dinner).

Our order was three pulled pork sandwiches, two with mac & cheese and the last with baked beans.

The tender pulled pork was a generous portion with lots of spicy hot sauce. The mac n' cheese was tasty and again a nice size portion. I was told the baked beans were good as well. The sides are a la carte and a large is $4.88 or $2.38 for a small order. All of us enjoyed our sandwiches and side.

Their open 7 days a week and  offers a Sunday Buffet from 11-6. Uber's Eats also delivers. Even though the food was good I'm not sure we'll return due to the lackluster service.

Wow what a hidden Gem in Cleremont. This place is some delicious bbq. I had the pulled pork w baked beans and greens. The baked beans maybe were the best I have ever had in my life and the greens super delicious. The pulled pork I had medium and for about $13 it was so good.   My husbands half slab of ribs are fall off the bone good literally. I normally do not eat ribs and I had to taste these. They were amazing.

Please stop by and support this business.

They have the best fried catfish! Hands down! What've had the rib tips and they were a little tough both times I had them. But that catfish...with potato salad and baked beans!!!! Making my stomach growl now!

Wow, as much as I love a real down home Mom and Pop BBQ Joint, this aint it.

Dad and I arrived for lunch to go and though we would give this place a shot. Place opens up at 1100 and we arrived at 1230. You would think fresh, right?

I ordered the tip dinner with greens and beans to go. Beans were of the canned variety and greens just plain. The tips are some of the worst I have ever had. They were drenched in BBQ Sauce and still very overcooked and dry as if they were prepared the day or two b4 and not edible.

This was one of the most horrible BBQ dinners ever and if you look at some of my past reviews you will notice I have been to quite a few across our great country.

If you don't even try (and they didn't) your demise as a business is inevitable.

I do not like giving bad reviews and one star, especially to a local joint but if you don't even try, just give up.
